Christmas isn’t magical for everyone.

But if you need to be reminded of why the season and all the festivities that come with it are worth sitting down for and just experiencing fully, take your cue from children: the sparkle in their eyes, the brightness of their smiles, the excitement in their voices.

Of course, children have their fair share of worries, too. They’re not just in it for the presents.

Kids want Christmas time to be perfect for others, too.

They show their selflessness and compassion in the cutest ways, which are also delightful reminders for grown-ups worldwide to pause and bask in the holiday magic.

TyLon Pittman of Byram, Mississippi, wanted Christmas to go smoothly, so he decided to get the authorities involved.

TyLon dialed 911 one weekend to seek expert help to ensure everything would go perfectly.

This meant reminding the operator to inform the police to keep an eye out for the Grinch, whom he was sure would sneak around to steal Christmas.

According to ABC News, the boy said:

“I just want to tell you something. Watch for that little Grinch. Because the Grinch is gonna steal Christmas, okay?”

Officer Lauren Develle did not disappoint.

She showed up at TyLon’s place to reassure him that everything was under control.

It wasn’t just simply going to his house to tell him that she would make sure the Grinch wouldn’t try anything funny.

To make Christmas even more special, Officer Develle invited TyLon on a tour of the police station.

When the vehicle arrived at TyLon’s place, who did he see in the backseat but the Grinch himself?

Apparently, the officers wanted the concerned little boy to make the arrest himself, which he gladly and bravely did.

It was hilarious how The Grinch paused to introduce himself and offer a handshake to the hero who was about to put him behind bars for holiday theft.

TyLon got the chance to do the questioning, too.

And because of the purity and kindness of the little boy’s heart, he decided to forgive The Grinch under the promise that there would be no more attempts to steal Christmas and ruin things for children everywhere.

The Grinch also offered an apology and swore he would stop stealing presents.

TyLon’s family was both horrified and amused at what happened.

Their son had seen YouTube clips of The Grinch’s shenanigans, which triggered him to call 911.

After conversing with the officers and having a good laugh over what just happened, she also mentioned how TyLon wanted to be a police officer when he grew up.

Police Chief Luke Thompson told TyLon he could fill out an application to be a police officer when he turns 21.

That didn’t stop TyLon from insisting he would always be around to help the officers to do their job, saying they could call him anytime they needed assistance.
